D. Mark Lowers, CFE, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mark is an international authority on risk management and its many component disciplines.  He is widely cited on risk management and security issues, and he has published numerous articles on those topics.  Formerly, Mark was President and CEO of Amsec International, a global security firm based in Winchester, Virginia.  In two decades, Mark grew the business from a local security installer to an internationally recognized risk management company.

Michael O'Dell, Chief Operating Officer

Mike leads all service delivery, corporate IT, and corporate operational activities at Lowers & Associates (L&A).  His past technical and business experience also complement his technical involvement in new program development.  Mike has a combined experience of over 20 years in the U.S. Military, airline industry, and technology companies.

LaDawn Presgraves, Chief Financial Officer

LaDawn brings over 20 years of accounting and financial experience to the Lowers & Associates (L&A team).  Her diverse background is a culmination of experience gained within the healthcare, manufacturing/remanufacturing, and building component/supply industries.  She possesses a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a master’s degree in Business Administration and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Stephen Yesko, ARM, Director of Sales and Marketing

Steve leads all Sales & Marketing efforts for Lowers & Associates from his New York City office.  Steve has over 20 years of experience within the Insurance Industry, the last 15 of which have been in various sales, business development, and consultative roles of increasing responsibility.  Over this time, Steve has worked with several leading Risk Management Information System (RMIS) service providers such as Risk Sciences Group (subsidiary of Crawford & Co.), INFORM Applications (subsidiary of Information Builders), OCI (subsidiary of UnumProvident), and most recently PureSafety, Inc.

Steve has developed a wide range of experience in insurance-related technology solutions such as RMIS, Claims Administration Systems, Disability Case Management, Agent/Broker Systems, Knowledge Management Solutions, and related Data Management and Consulting Services.  Steve has a B.S., Environmental Resource Management, and an MBA, Executive Management.

Malcolm Blair, Managing Director, European Operations 

Malcolm heads the Lowers & Associates’ (L&A) London office. Leading a dedicated team of risk assessment experts, they serve the needs of L&A clients not only in the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets but also those of their clients’ customers operating across Europe, Scandinavia, Africa, and the Middle/Far East.

With 40 years of experience in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market, Malcolm was an established underwriter of the cash-in-transit/armored car industry as well as a broker with the Halford Henry Montefiore & Co. at Lloyd’s of London.  Malcolm was the director of the AMSEC International London office for 11 years prior to joining L&A.

Keith Gray, Director, Cash Audits

Keith is the director of the cash audit program for Lowers & Associates (L&A).  The cash audit program involves L&A acting as an independent third-party auditor to verify reported cash balances in an attempt to safeguard client property and reduce loss.   As director of the cash audit program, Keith oversees all cash audit activities and communicates directly with the client regarding any findings or suggestions.

Keith has extensive accounting experience, having previously worked with public accounting firms, mortgage companies, and non-profit organizations.

Yohanis Smith, CPP, Director CIT Programs, North America

Yohanis manages the day to day operations for the CIT programs involving surveillance, risk and compliance surveys, standards and policy development, and other special projects, overseeing a field team deployed nationwide.  Prior to Lowers & Associates (L&A), he worked at AMSEC International in the CIT department as a field auditor, as well as an investigator.  Yohanis has over 18 years in the private security industry, to include retail, with extensive experience in loss prevention management to include auditing, investigations, safety, and training personnel in asset protection techniques.  He possesses a BA in Criminal Justice and is a registered private investigator in the state of Virginia.  Yohanis is a member of ASIS and received the designation of a Certified Protection Professional in 2008.

Mark Stavish, Partner

Mark specializes in human resource issues, improving the security of people and operations.  He is president and general manager of a firm specializing in building productive workplaces.  Mark previously directed human resource activities in several Pepsi-Cola business units, then served as executive vice president at America Online during seven years of phenomenal growth.

Daniel McGinnis, Partner

Daniel brings over 40 years of experience to provide a range of strategic and tactical expertise.  He has an extensive background in financial management as well as in system software and hardware.  Before joining the Board, Daniel headed firms that provided system management software and developed network and telecom equipment.
