Case Study 1
Failing Bank Examinations
The customer was failing regular bank examinations with respect to risk management. They were unable to determine their level of exposure to IT vulnerabilities, both from the network and the application perspective. L&A performed enterprise risk assessments both from a physical and IT perspective. We performed extensive vulnerability assessments (VA) and penetration testing (PT), both internal and external. Monthly internal VA scans were initiated, internal security policies and incident response procedures established and security and patch logs for reference compiled.
Proven Solutions
As a result of L&A’s efforts, the bank examination ratings improved. The instances of data breaches decreased significantly. In the case of an internal data breach, we performed computer forensics on the client’s (user) machine. Ultimately, we became the de facto Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the bank.
