Lowers and Associates Appoints Ben Scaglione as Healthcare Security and Safety Leader

Scaglione, a recognized expert in healthcare security, brings strategic leadership to the enterprise risk management practice of Lowers and Associates.

September 6, 2016 (Purcellville, VA) Leading enterprise risk management firm, Lowers and Associates, announces the appointment of Ben Scaglione as the leader of its healthcare and security divisions. The veteran security leader was previously the Director of Hospital Police for Bellevue Hospital in New York City, as well as Director of Security for New York Presbyterian Hospital. Most recently, Ben was Director of Healthcare for G4S Secure Solutions.

Scaglione holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University and is an ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP). Ben is a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA), as well as a Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP). He is a frequent author on security topics including risk assessment, security management, physical security systems, executive protection, and emergency preparedness.

Armored Car Guard Robbed while Servicing ATM, Charlotte, NC

An armored car guard was robbed at gunpoint by a pair of armed suspects while servicing an ATM outside of a suburban Charlotte bank branch.

Three Arrested in Plot to Rob & Murder Armored Car Guards, Port St. Lucie, FL
March 2, 2018
Multiple Florida police departments and the FBI coordinated to arrest three suspects who had plotted to rob an armored car and murder the guards, while en route to the crime. The suspects’ vehicles were blockaded on the highway in Palm Beach County and the men taken into custody without incident.

Suspects Foiled in Attempted Armored Terminal Heist, Santa Rosa, CA
March 2, 2018
A pair of armed suspects ambushed armored terminal employees overnight and attempted to gain access to the facility’s vault; however, the employees were able to secure themselves and call police. One suspect was shot in the ensuing conformation with law enforcement and both men were taken into custody.

One of the suspects had previously robbed the same armored terminal in 2011, escaping with a still unrecovered $1,000,000 in cash, although he was eventually arrested and served jail time.
