Corporate Security Risk Management

Long gone are the days when security risk management was an afterthought.

In an increasingly competitive world, corporate security management is a core competency that is critical to bolstering the bottom line. Today’s security professionals must be steeped not only in principles of management and in the nuances of physical protection, but they must also work seamlessly with the corporate IT, legal, accounting, safety, facilities, and risk management departments.

With this range of expertise in-house, L&A’s team of experts take a holistic approach to security management; understanding its critical role among the various business processes that enable a company to prosper. We will assume as little or as much of the corporate security function as you wish, reporting to you regularly on our activities.

One of the many areas of L&A expertise is polygraph testing.  Since 1974, L&A’s polygraph expert has conducted more than 12,000 examinations for law enforcement, attorneys, security organizations, and businesses. Our expert has mastered the intricacies of the 1988 federal Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA), which sets guidelines for polygraph testing and imposes restrictions on the use of polygraphs on most private employers.  In compliance with the law, our expert has conducted successful polygraph examinations in cases where a client was involved in an ongoing specific investigation involving an economic loss to the employer; the employee had access to the items under investigation, and the details of the incident and investigation otherwise fit the specific criteria set out in EPPA.
