Neil Watson Joins the Lowers & Associates Team 

Watson, an experienced professional in the insurance industry, brings various relationships and management expertise to the Lowers & Associates team, and will assist with Fine Art, Jewellry, and Specie risk mitigation services offered to the market.

(Purcellville, VA) Lowers & Associates welcomes Neil Watson to the London team, effective March 1st. Watson previously held positions with the top 3 global insurance broker operations in the London market, focused on the cash handling insurance industry. His most recent position was with JLT Specialty as a Senior Partner. We are pleased to have Neil joining our organization and look forward to his participation in the expansion of the London office.

Norfolk Armored Car Robbery Revealed as Inside Job, Norfolk, VA

An armored car guard reported that he had been robbed by an armed suspect; however, video footage quickly surfaced showing what appears to be the guard voluntarily handing over cash to an accomplice. Both the guard and accomplice have been arrested as suspects in the incident.

FBI Thwarts Armored Car Robbery in Progress, Merrillville, IN

FBI agents were alerted to a planned armored car robbery in an Indiana neighborhood south of Chicago. Agents tailed the suspects and arrested them outside of a grocery store where the robbery was set to occur. The suspects are believed to have been involved in a $500,000 armored car robbery which occurred in another of Chicago’s southern suburbs in July, 2018.

March 15, 2019
An armored car guard was fired upon by two suspects, one of whom was reportedly wielding an automatic rifle. The guard was knocked to the ground and injured, but was not hit, while stray shots struck nearby businesses. The suspects fled the scene with an unspecified sum of cash.
